Official Farewell in the Danish King's Garden Concluded the State Visit to Estonia

The state visit to Estonia concluded with an official farewell in the Danish King's Garden in Tallinn, where Estonian President Alar Karis and Mrs. Sirje Karis bid farewell to King Frederik and Queen Mary.

The garden is located on Toompea Hill and is closely linked to the shared Danish and Estonian history. According to legend, it was here that the Dannebrog fell from the sky in 1219. The farewell ceremony began with Their Majesties and the Presidential couple viewing the historic memorial plaque for the Dannebrog.

Earlier in the day, Their Majesties hosted a return reception at the city's medieval town hall on the old market square. During the reception, the Danish amateur choir Det Unge VokalEnsemble, Copenhagen Young Voices performed.
The farewell in the Danish King's Garden marked the formal conclusion of the state visit to Estonia, before Their Majesties continued on to the state visit to Lithuania.
