Concert and fireworks: Frederik and Mary guests at the Glyptotek
Vietnam's President and his wife held a reception and concert at the Glyptotek in Copenhagen, with King Frederik and Queen Mary as guests of honour. The evening ended with fireworks over the harbour.
On the second day of the state visit, it was Vietnamese President Tô Lâm and his wife Ngô Phương Ly who played host. On Tuesday evening they held a reception and concert at the Glyptotek in Copenhagen, with King Frederik and Queen Mary as guests of honour. More than 100 guests were invited.
It is customary for the guests on a state visit to thank their hosts with an event of their own. This time it also marked 55 years of diplomatic relations between Denmark and Vietnam.
Earlier in the day the King and the President attended a business conference at the Confederation of Danish Industry, on green solutions, health and food.

A speech and Danish music
The President gave a speech to the guests. Danish singer Nanna Botto then performed, and singer-songwriter Michael Møller played his song "Ripped Leaves". Møller has visited Vietnam several times and has made music with Vietnamese composers.

Fireworks over the harbour
As the Vietnamese delegation returned to Amalienborg, a large fireworks display lit up Copenhagen harbour by Kvæsthusbroen and Ofelia Plads. It lasted from 8.45 pm to 9.15 pm.
The state visit ends on Wednesday.
