Historic Theatre from 1767
Hofteatret was built in 1767. The theatre is a historical attraction, a living stage, and a modern theatre museum, and after five years of restoration can reopen to the public. Their Majesties and the invited guests enjoyed a stage program that included a sensory audio journey through Hofteatret's history with stories about Christian VII, Heiberg, as well as Weyse and H.C. Andersen, ballet from The Royal Danish Ballet, opera from Donizetti's Don Pasquale, and theatre scenes from Den Politiske Kandestøber.New Exhibition
After the performance, the Queen and Queen Margrethe received a tour of the new exhibition at Hofteatret: "Theatre Through Time – 300 years", consisting of 17 specially designed display cases, each presenting a performance or a moment in the theatre's history.
