King Frederik and Queen Mary Visit Norddjurs Municipality

The summer cruise with the royal yacht Dannebrog continued to Norddjurs Municipality, where King Frederik and Queen Mary visited a school, a forestry school and two local industrial companies.
King Frederik X and Queen Mary berthed in the Port of Grenaa aboard the royal yacht Dannebrog, where they were received at a welcome ceremony. The visit to Norddjurs Municipality was a new leg of the annual summer cruise along the Danish coast.

Mayor Kasper Bjerregaard was among those who welcomed the royal couple at the quay, where many people had turned out to greet the royals.

One of the stops was Glesborg School, where pupils had lined up with Danish flags to welcome the royal couple.

At Skovskolen Djursland, the royal couple were given a tour of the arboretum with more than a hundred different tree species, and watched a tree-climbing demonstration, among other things.

The day also included visits to two local companies, the metalworking firm HSM Industri and the defence and aerospace company Terma, where the royal couple met employees and gained insight into production.
