The Danish Royal Family transferred their residence to the Chancellery House at Fredensborg Palace, where they will reside for the coming months. The Royal Couple were officially welcomed by the mayor with flags and music.
The Danish Royal Family transferred their residence to the Chancellery House at Fredensborg Palace, where they will reside for the coming months. King Frederik and Queen Mary were officially welcomed to Fredensborg by the mayor, accompanied by flags and music performed by the Fredensborg Palace Chapel Girls' Choir.

King Frederik and Queen Mary took over the Chancellery House around the time of their wedding. The building, dating from 1731, was renovated after having served as the residence of Queen Ingrid for many years.

Until 2010, when Frederik VIII's Palace at Amalienborg was fully renovated, the Chancellery House was the Royal Couple's primary residence.
