Fête du Prince celebrated with parade and festivities
Monaco marked its national day with a military parade and ceremonial service in the cathedral.
On November 19, 2025, Monaco celebrated its national day, Fête du Prince, with traditional ceremonies and festivities. Prince Albert II and Princess Charlene led the celebration which gathered thousands of Monegasques and tourists in the streets. This year also marked the 20th anniversary of Prince Albert's accession to the throne.
The day began with a solemn mass in Saint Nicholas Cathedral, where the princely family and the country's leaders gathered. The Archbishop of Monaco led the service and prayed for the principality's future and welfare.

After the service, a military parade followed at Place du Palais in front of the Prince's Palace. Prince Albert inspected the troops together with Hereditary Prince Jacques, who wore a miniature military uniform at his father's side.

Princess Gabriella was dressed in a red coat with Peter Pan collar and matching headband from Philip Treacy. Princess Charlene chose an exquisite white Armani dress in memory of the late Italian designer who created her wedding dress.
Fête du Prince also marks Prince Albert's name day and is the most important national holiday in Monaco. The day has been celebrated since Prince Charles III introduced the tradition in the 1800s.

After the parade, Prince Albert gave a speech from the palace balcony thanking the Monegasque people for their loyalty and support. He emphasized the importance of unity in a troubled world.
The evening concluded with a gala event at the Grimaldi Forum featuring a show dedicated to Joséphine Baker. Princess Charlene wore her Diamond Foam tiara with the Order of Saint Charles. The entire principality was decorated with flags and lights, and the atmosphere was festive throughout the day.
