The day is organised by the association Les Smileys Monaco, founded in 2021. Its aim is to bring comfort to children receiving medical care, and to their families, in situations that can be both stressful and frightening.

• Dolls made for hospitals
The money raised goes towards the association's own smiley dolls. They are made hypoallergenic and to hospital standards, so that they can stay with the children through their treatment.
