Eventful Day for the Royal Couple in Melbourne
The state visit to Australia has brought the royal couple to the state of Victoria, where the day began with an official reception at Government House. The programme included a city walk in Prahran, a visit to Port of Melbourne and a sports culture event at the Melbourne Cricket Ground.
The state visit to Australia has now brought King Frederik and Queen Mary to the state of Victoria. In Melbourne, the day began with an official reception at Government House, where the royal couple was welcomed by Victoria's Governor Margaret Gardner and Professor Glyn Davis.

In connection with the visit, the royal couple also attended a lunch with representatives from Danish and Australian business communities.
A key highlight of the day's programme was a city walk in the redeveloped Prahran area, focusing on sustainable renovation. The royal couple gained insight into existing buildings, projects under construction and completed sustainable housing. The walk concluded with a presentation by Queen Mary, who drew on the annex at Fredensborg Palace to share the royal couple's own experiences with sustainable transformation.

The royal couple also visited Port of Melbourne, where the focus was on green transition in the maritime sector and Danish energy solutions were presented.
