The Princess of Wales Marked St. Patrick's Day with the Irish Guards
The Princess of Wales marked St. Patrick's Day in her role as Colonel of the Irish Guards at Mons Barracks in Aldershot. During the visit, she greeted soldiers and officers, met the regimental mascot and posed for a group photo with the Guards.
The Princess of Wales wished the officers and guardsmen of the Irish Guards a happy St. Patrick's Day as she attended the traditional parade at Mons Barracks in Aldershot, Hampshire. The Princess, who has served as the regiment's Colonel since 2022, presented the guardsmen with traditional sprigs of shamrock.

The Princess wore a bottle green coat with an Irish Guards cap star pinned to it, paired with a matching green hat. During the parade, she also greeted the regimental mascot, an Irish wolfhound named Turlough Mor, affectionately known as Seamus.

After the event concluded with three cheers for the Princess, she presented good conduct and long-service medals to three soldiers. The Princess then posed for a group photo with the Guards.

During the visit, the Princess also took time to greet families and children who were present at the celebration.
