Prince Carl Philip Visited the Cold Response 26 Winter Exercise

Prince Carl Philip visited Norrbotten Air Flotilla, F21, and the major NATO exercise Cold Response 26, currently taking place in Sweden, Norway and Finland, earlier this week.

Cold Response 26 is a large-scale exercise led by Norway, with participation from a number of NATO allies. The exercise aims to strengthen the alliance's defence capability in the northern regions and train for operations under demanding winter conditions.

For Sweden, this is a particularly significant exercise, as the country is participating for the first time as a full NATO member. Prince Carl Philip received a briefing on the scope and objectives of the exercise, and met personnel from the Swedish armed forces taking part in the operations.

During the visit to F21, the Prince gained insight into the flotilla's role in the exercise and how the Swedish Air Force collaborates with allied forces to secure the airspace in the north.
