King Carl Gustaf presented the Seraphim Medal to Queen Silvia at the Royal Palace in Stockholm, in recognition of her humanitarian work over more than half a century.

King Carl Gustaf presented the Seraphim Medal, one of Sweden's foremost honours, to Queen Silvia at the Royal Palace in Stockholm. The presentation took place ahead of the royal couple's 50th wedding anniversary.

The honour recognises the Queen's significant humanitarian work over more than half a century. Queen Silvia has founded organisations including Mentor, the World Childhood Foundation and Silviahemmet.
