King Frederik and Queen Mary Begin the Summer Cruise in Odense

King Frederik and Queen Mary arrived in Odense aboard the Royal Yacht Dannebrog to begin the traditional summer cruise. They were received at the city hall and visited Odense Cathedral, among other places.
King Frederik and Queen Mary arrived at the harbour in Odense, Denmark's third largest city, aboard the Royal Yacht Dannebrog. With this, the royal couple began their traditional summer cruise.

The royal couple were received by Mayor Peter Rahbæk Juel and given a formal welcome at the city hall. From there they walked to Eventyrhaven, accompanied by the historic "Blue Guards" in 18th-century uniforms, and also visited Odense Cathedral (St Canute's Church).

The summer cruise continues with a visit to Norddjurs municipality on 2 June and a day at sea on 3 June, before concluding with a visit to Holbæk municipality on 4 June.
