Research, Art and Social Initiatives in Melbourne
King Frederik and Queen Mary had an eventful day in Melbourne, visiting Melbourne Children's Campus, Headspace South Melbourne, an art exhibition and a business conference. The day concluded with a reception at the Royal Botanical Garden.

At Melbourne Children's Campus, the royal couple gained insight into a Danish-Australian research collaboration in stem cell innovation with participation from Aarhus University. Young people's wellbeing was also on the programme when the couple visited Headspace South Melbourne, where they were briefed on the organisation's work with mental health.

Art and culture were also part of the programme. The royal couple opened an exhibition featuring works by the Danish-Australian artist duo Rhoda Ting and Mikkel Bojesen, who work in the intersection of nature and culture, as well as the natural and the synthetic.
The royal couple also attended the opening of a business conference focusing on Danish-Australian cooperation on green transition and sustainable solutions.

The day concluded with the return event 'An Evening in the Garden' at the Royal Botanical Garden in Melbourne, where the royal couple hosted a reception. The King opened the evening with a welcome toast, followed by a speech from the Queen. The event provided an opportunity to thank Australia's Governor-General, the government and other partners.
