King Frederik and Queen Mary Attend Service for Ukraine

King Frederik and Queen Mary attended a service at Holmens Kirke to mark the fourth anniversary of Russia's invasion of Ukraine.

Holmens Kirke provided the setting today for a service to mark the anniversary of Russia's invasion of Ukraine. King Frederik and Queen Mary attended the service along with the Speaker of Parliament Søren Gade and representatives of the government.

The service included both Danish hymns and Ukrainian music. During the ceremony, readings were given by Father Sergiy Berezhnoy from the Ukrainian Orthodox Church and prayers by Father Vasyl Tykhovych from the Ukrainian Greek Catholic Church.

It is now four years since Russia invaded Ukraine. To mark the occasion, the Presidium of the Danish Parliament took the initiative to hold a service to demonstrate Denmark's support for Ukraine and the Ukrainian people.
