King Frederik Visited Maniitsoq on Second Day of Greenland Trip
King Frederik arrived in the west Greenlandic town of Maniitsoq together with the chairman of Naalakkersuisut, Jens Frederik Nielsen. The King met both young and older residents, and the day ended with a traditional kaffemik.
There was singing, greetings and handshakes as King Frederik arrived in the west Greenlandic town of Maniitsoq together with the chairman of Naalakkersuisut, Jens Frederik Nielsen.

Maniitsoq is situated on a rocky island along the west coast of Greenland, between mountains and fjords. Around the town, the King met both young and older residents.

Later, the King joined young entrepreneurs on a trip into the landscape outside the town, where he gained insight into the area's nature.

The day ended with a traditional kaffemik at the community hall, where many townspeople had gathered. The visit concluded with layer cake and coffee, before the King travelled on to Kangerlussuaq, where the Greenland visit ends the following day.
