To mark the International Day for Biological Diversity, Crown Princess Victoria and Prince Oscar earlier this week went on a bird excursion in Hagaparken, accompanied by nature and culture guide Henrik Waldenström.
Today, on the International Day for Biological Diversity, the Swedish Royal Court has shared images from a bird excursion that Crown Princess Victoria and Prince Oscar took in Hagaparken earlier this week.

During the walk, nature and culture guide Henrik Waldenström spoke about the bird life in the park and about the many species that could be heard singing in the early morning.

The Crown Princess and Prince Oscar saw and heard a wide range of species, including mallard, goldeneye, barnacle goose, coot, common tern, black-headed gull, wood pigeon, blackbird, fieldfare, song thrush, starling, chaffinch, goldfinch, greenfinch, wood warbler, blackcap and robin.
