The King and Queen Began State Visit to Poland
King Carl XVI Gustaf and Queen Silvia began a three-day state visit to Poland, at the invitation of President Karol Nawrocki. The purpose of the visit is to strengthen cooperation between Sweden and Poland in areas such as defence, business and cultural heritage.

The purpose of the visit is to affirm and develop the close relationship between Sweden and Poland, with a focus on cooperation in defence, business and cultural heritage.

During the day, the royal couple were received at an official ceremony at the Presidential Palace. The King laid a wreath at the Tomb of the Unknown Soldier, and the couple visited the Polish parliament. They also met Swedes living in Poland.

Queen Silvia visited the Polish National Opera together with First Lady Marta Nawrocka and Sweden's Minister for Culture Parisa Liljestrand. They were given a tour of the building, including the costume workshop. The opera house stage is one of the largest in the world.
