Crown Princess Victoria on Snowmobile Trip in Luleå Archipelago at Minus 25
Crown Princess Victoria visited the Luleå archipelago, where she rode a snowmobile and participated in water sampling on the ice – all at minus 25 degrees.
On 17 February, Crown Princess Victoria visited the Luleå archipelago, where Länsstyrelsen (the County Administrative Board) in Norrbotten hosted the royal visit. Luleå offered minus 25 degrees but clear winter weather.

Together with County Governor Lotta Finstorp and Josefine Strand from Länsstyrelsen, the Crown Princess headed out onto the ice at sunrise. She sat in the snowmobile sled behind the electric snowmobile used by Länsstyrelsen. Out on the ice, Victoria helped drill holes and took part in water sampling.

It took plenty of hot chocolate and lingonberry drinks to stay warm throughout the day in the bitter cold.
