On the second day of her visit to Zambia, the Duchess of Edinburgh met President Hakainde Hichilema and First Lady Mutinta Hichilema at Community House in Lusaka. Earlier in the day she met Zambian women who are using visual arts and theatre to build confidence and community dialogue.
The Duchess of Edinburgh met Zambia's President Hakainde Hichilema on the second day of her official visit to the country. She is in Zambia from 14 to 19 September.

Earlier in the day the Duchess met Zambian women who are using visual arts and theatre to build confidence, resilience and community dialogue.

During a sit-down discussion with artists and participants in a Barefeet workshop, she heard about their creative journeys, their aspirations, and the messages of change they hope to share through their work.

• A visit to Community House
Afterwards the Duchess, together with the British High Commissioner to Zambia, Rebecca Terzeon, went to Community House in Lusaka. There they met President Hakainde Hichilema and First Lady Mutinta Hichilema.

• About the visit
The five-day visit centres on education, health, women's enterprise, conservation and culture. On the first day the Duchess visited the British High Commission in Lusaka and a reception held by the eye health organisation Orbis.
