The Duchess of Edinburgh has begun a five-day official visit to Zambia, from 14 to 19 September. She started in Lusaka with a visit to the British High Commission and a reception on eye health. Education, health, women's enterprise, conservation and culture are the themes of the trip.

During the visit the Duchess will meet communities and partners working in education, health, women's enterprise, conservation and culture.

• The British High Commission

On Monday 14 September she visited the British High Commission in Lusaka.

• A reception on eye health

Later the same day she met delegates at a reception held by the eye health organisation Orbis, at the Latitude 15 Degrees hotel in Lusaka.
