The Prince and Princess launched a suicide prevention toolkit for sport

The Prince and Princess of Wales marked World Suicide Prevention Day at the launch of the On Your Side toolkit at Hill Dickinson Stadium in Liverpool. The Princess wore earrings created in memory of a 17-year-old girl who took her own life.
The Prince and Princess of Wales attended the launch of a new suicide prevention toolkit on Thursday 10 September. The launch took place on World Suicide Prevention Day at Hill Dickinson Stadium in Liverpool.

• On Your Side
The toolkit is called On Your Side and is designed for people in sport. It has been developed by The Royal Foundation in partnership with the British Standards Institution and the organisation Chasing the Stigma.
The message displayed at the launch was that sport can be a lifeline for people at risk of suicide.

• Earrings in memory of Issy
The Princess wore a pair of earrings from the jewellery label Issy Star. She was given them by Sarah Renton when she visited Maidenhead Rugby Club in June 2023.
The jewellery was created in memory of Sarah's daughter, Issy Phipps, who took her own life that year at the age of 17.

• Sport gathered on the pitch
After the launch the Prince and Princess joined the participants for a group photograph on the pitch. The campaign message was displayed across the stand behind them.

Hill Dickinson Stadium at Bramley-Moore Dock is Everton's new home ground, which came into use for the 2025/26 season.
