After six years in the United States, the Duke and Duchess of Sussex are moving back to the United Kingdom. According to British media, Harry, Meghan and their children will settle in a private residence outside London, with Archie and Lilibet starting British schools in September.
Prince Harry and Duchess Meghan are moving back to the United Kingdom, six years after they stepped back as working royals and settled in California. That is according to numerous British and American media outlets, which report that the move is planned to take place as early as this August.

According to the reports, the family will settle in a private residence outside London, not in a royal residence. The children, Prince Archie (7) and Princess Lilibet (5), are said to be enrolled in British schools and will start as early as the new term in September.

King Charles is said to have been informed of the plans only on Sunday, and the subject reportedly did not come up when the family visited the UK in July. According to British media, the King welcomes the opportunity to see more of his son and grandchildren privately, but it has also been made clear that the couple's role will not change: they remain private individuals and non-working members of the royal family.

When the couple stepped back from royal duties in 2020, they were allowed to keep their Duke and Duchess titles, but lost the right to use the style "Royal Highness". That arrangement remains in place after the move home.

The move marks the end of a chapter that began with the dramatic split in 2020, and means King Charles gets two of his grandchildren back in the United Kingdom. RoyMob is following the story.
