Princess Beatrice on Thursday attended the funeral of businessman Paddy McNally, her mother's former boyfriend and a longtime friend of the family. McNally died on July 22 at the age of 88.
Princess Beatrice on Thursday attended the funeral of Paddy McNally at St James' Church in the village of Sevenhampton. McNally died on July 22 at his home, Sevenhampton Place, at the age of 88.

Paddy McNally was a British businessman with a background in motorsport, where he found great success in advertising connected to Formula 1. To a wider audience he was best known as Sarah Ferguson's boyfriend in the early 1980s, before her marriage to the then Prince Andrew. The two remained good friends, and McNally stayed close to the family throughout the years.

Beatrice, the eldest daughter of Sarah Ferguson and Andrew, wore a simple black dress by Beulah London for the service.
