King Charles on First Official Visit to Bermuda as Sovereign

King Charles was formally welcomed to Bermuda with a military ceremony and a 21-gun salute. This is his first Royal Visit as Sovereign to a British Overseas Territory.
King Charles was formally welcomed to Bermuda in King's Square with a military ceremony performed by the Royal Bermuda Regiment and a 21-gun salute. The day marked the King's first Royal Visit as Sovereign to a British Overseas Territory.

At Hamilton City Hall, the King celebrated Bermudian creativity and craftsmanship. He met artisans and artists, including Michael Frith, one of Bermuda's most accomplished creatives.

Frith illustrated books by Dr. Seuss, designed numerous Muppet characters and created the television series Fraggle Rock. He also co-founded a production company dedicated to promoting reading among children.

The King thanked everyone who had come out to greet him, expressing that he had received an extraordinarily warm welcome to the island.
