Final Day of the Royal Couple's State Visit to the United States

King Charles and Queen Camilla concluded their four-day state visit to the United States with an official farewell ceremony at the White House, a wreath-laying at Arlington National Cemetery and a community visit in Front Royal, Virginia.
King Charles III and Queen Camilla concluded their four-day state visit to the United States, marking the 250th anniversary of the Declaration of Independence and highlighting the close ties between the two countries.
On the final day of the visit, the King and Queen ended their stay in Washington D.C. with an official farewell ceremony for President Donald Trump and First Lady Melania Trump in the Diplomatic Reception Room of the White House.

From the White House, the Royal Couple travelled to Arlington National Cemetery, where they paid tribute to the fallen at the Tomb of the Unknown Soldier. Covering more than 600 acres, Arlington is the final resting place of over 400,000 service members and their family members, as well as two former U.S. presidents. The cemetery also contains graves of members of the British Commonwealth.

Later in the day, the Royal Couple took part in a vibrant community celebration in the small town of Front Royal, Virginia. Together with locals, they joined a potluck gathering, a symbol of community, contributing a British dish alongside the dishes from neighbours and families.

Meanwhile, Queen Camilla visited Smitten Farm to learn more about America's horse racing industry and ongoing efforts to improve horse welfare.
