Queen Letizia Receives Delegation From the Spanish Brain Council
Queen Letizia received a delegation from the Spanish Brain Council at the Palace of La Zarzuela in Madrid, learning about their work on brain health and a new youth initiative.
Queen Letizia of Spain received a delegation from the Spanish Brain Council (Consejo Español del Cerebro) at the Palace of La Zarzuela in Madrid on Wednesday, February 25.

The Queen learned about the most recent developments and the new Youth Area – an initiative made up of secondary school students aimed at promoting education, research and awareness of mental and brain health among younger generations.

The delegation was led by its president, Mara Dierssen, and accompanied by the deputy secretary of the Spanish Society of Psychiatry and Mental Health, Carmen Moreno Ruiz, as well as the coordinators of the Youth Area, Clara Manso and Martina Lauriola.

The Spanish Brain Council was founded in 2009 as a non-governmental organisation bringing together scientific societies, patient associations and industry, with the primary objective of actively participating in and promoting all matters related to brain research and associated disorders.
