The Royal Couple Arrives in Olympic City Milan
King Harald and Queen Sonja have arrived in Milan to attend the Winter Olympics. This is the first Olympics the royal couple has visited since Sochi in 2014.
King Harald and Queen Sonja have arrived in the Olympic city of Milan to cheer on the Norwegian athletes during the 2026 Winter Olympics.

On Saturday, the royal couple will watch the women's 3000 meter speed skating event. This is the first Olympic Games the royal couple has visited since the Winter Olympics in Sochi in 2014.
When asked by the press if he was looking forward to the Olympics, the King nodded and answered affirmatively.

The royal couple arrived by car and was met by Secretary General of the Norwegian Olympic and Paralympic Committee, Kjell Bjarne Helland, and Event Manager Marit Almåsvold Røste, at the entrance to the ice arena in western Milan.
In the car behind followed Sports President Zaineb al-Samarai. Later, Kristin Kloster and Gerhard Heiberg also joined the Norwegian delegation.
