The wedding at Oslo Cathedral on August 25, 2001 was followed by the whole of Norway. The bride wore a custom gown of white silk crêpe and tulle with a six-metre veil, and on her head a tiara from 1910, a gift from King Harald and Queen Sonja.

Together the couple have two children, Princess Ingrid Alexandra and Prince Sverre Magnus, in addition to the Crown Princess's son Marius Borg Høiby.
The couple are celebrating the anniversary itself privately with their family. An official celebration has been postponed until the Crown Princess's health permits, following her recent lung transplant.
The silver wedding comes at a busy time for the Crown Prince, who is currently serving as regent and carrying out the King's duties while King Harald is on sick leave at Rikshospitalet. RoyMob congratulates the Crown Prince couple on their 25 years!
