King Charles and Queen Camilla received Prince Harry, his wife Meghan and the couple's two children on Friday afternoon, Buckingham Palace has announced. The meeting took place during the family's visit to the United Kingdom.

The visit is significant because the children, Archie (7) and Lilibet (5), have not been to the UK since 2022. Harry has said on several occasions that he wants to bring his children to his home country, but that he has been concerned about their safety. The question of security arrangements has long been a point of contention between the Prince and the Palace.
Harry arrived in the UK on Tuesday to take part in several charity engagements. The visit also marks one year to go until the Invictus Games in Birmingham in 2027, the sporting competition for wounded and sick soldiers and veterans that the Prince himself founded.
The relationship between Harry and his father has been strained since Harry and Meghan stepped back from royal duties in 2020 and moved to California. Father and son last met during a surprise visit in September last year, and before that a year and a half had passed since they last saw each other.
