The Norwegian Royal Family Celebrates the World Cup Victory Over Brazil

The Royal House shared photos of the whole family following Norway's historic win over Brazil, and Crown Princess Mette-Marit made her first public appearance since her lung surgery.
Norway's 2-1 victory over Brazil sent the team to the World Cup quarter-finals for the first time in history, and the win was duly celebrated in the royal family. The Royal House shared photos on its official accounts showing how the whole family followed the match.
"The whole family followed the match with great excitement: the King and Queen from Mågerø, the Crown Prince and Crown Princess from the Royal Palace, and Princess Ingrid Alexandra and Prince Sverre Magnus from the stadium in the United States", the Royal House wrote.

The photos also marked Crown Princess Mette-Marit's first public appearance since her lung surgery. The Crown Prince and Crown Princess watched the match from the Royal Palace, both wearing national team scarves.

Princess Ingrid Alexandra and Prince Sverre Magnus followed the match from the stands at MetLife Stadium in New Jersey. There, the siblings also met Brazilian football legends Ronaldo and Ronaldinho, and after the match they greeted national team manager Ståle Solbakken in the dressing room.
