The Princess of Wales Completes the National Three Peaks Challenge

The Princess of Wales completed the demanding National Three Peaks Challenge, climbing the highest mountains in Scotland, England and Wales within 24 hours, raising funds for The Royal Marsden Cancer Charity.
The Princess of Wales completed the National Three Peaks Challenge this past weekend, a demanding endurance event in which participants climb the highest mountains in Scotland, England and Wales within 24 hours. She ascended Ben Nevis in Scotland, Scafell Pike in England and Yr Wyddfa (Snowdon) in Wales.

She undertook the challenge alone, with support from Mountain Rescue along the route. The Prince of Wales, the couple's three children, Prince George, Princess Charlotte and Prince Louis, as well as her parents Carole and Michael Middleton, welcomed her at the foot of Snowdon.

Through this, the Princess wanted to support holistic care for cancer patients, which she described as improving quality of life during an extremely difficult period. The funds raised go to The Royal Marsden Cancer Charity, so that more cancer patients can be offered such holistic care.
