The Princess of Wales visited The Christie in Manchester, one of Europe's largest cancer centres, where she met patients undergoing treatment and visited the centre's art therapy room.

The Princess of Wales visited The Christie NHS Foundation Trust in south Manchester. The centre, founded in 1890, is described as one of the largest cancer centres in Europe.

At the Oak Road Treatment Centre she met several patients undergoing cancer treatment and took the time to speak with them.

She also visited the art therapy room, where she met patients both in treatment and in recovery. At the end of the visit she greeted staff at the centre.
