Queen Máxima officially opened the Work Landscape of the Future in Heerenveen, a green and climate-resilient business park, and visited waste company Omrin's new circular office.

Queen Máxima of the Netherlands officially opened the Work Landscape of the Future in Heerenveen, a green and climate-resilient business park. The visit was linked to the waste company Omrin, which processes waste from more than 1.7 million Dutch residents and 10,000 businesses.

The new office is built using reclaimed and recycled materials. The Queen was given a tour of an exhibition showcasing the circular materials used in the construction.

She also took part in three discussions, on circular construction, sustainable landscape architecture and the transition to a circular economy respectively.

Finally, the official opening of the business park itself took place.
