Princess Astrid Receives a Pacemaker

Princess Astrid has been admitted to Rikshospitalet Hospital with heart failure and has received a temporary pacemaker. According to the press release, she will remain in hospital for some time.
Princess Astrid has been admitted to Rikshospitalet Hospital in Oslo with heart failure, and was today fitted with a temporary pacemaker. The Royal Palace writes in a press release that the Princess wishes to convey that she is in the best of hands and will remain in hospital for some time.
It is not long since her previous admission. In late March, the 94-year-old Princess was hospitalised with pneumonia.

On 4 May, the Princess returned to official duties. Together with Crown Prince Haakon, she attended the 50th anniversary celebration of Dysleksi Norge at Oslo City Hall, her first engagement following the admission in March. The Princess is patron of Dysleksi Norge and has followed the organisation's work for several years.
On Tuesday this week, the Princess also carried out an official engagement, attending the 100th anniversary celebration of the Blindern og Vinderen Health Association, part of the Norwegian Women's Health Association.
