Queen Letizia Led World Red Cross Day Event in Pamplona

Queen Letizia visited Pamplona to take part in the World Red Cross Day commemorations and presented the 2026 Spanish Red Cross Gold Medals.
Queen Letizia of Spain travelled to Pamplona in Navarre to take part in the events marking World Red Cross and Red Crescent Day. The day began with a visit to the Espacio Activo Comprehensive Care Centre, an initiative of the Red Cross supporting elderly people and caregivers.

The Queen then presided over the central ceremony, where the Spanish Red Cross presented its 2026 Gold Medals to individuals and organisations that have made a significant social impact. The humanitarian organisation operates in 191 countries and marks the day on 8 May.
