King Willem-Alexander and Queen Máxima attended the national Remembrance Day ceremony Dodenherdenking at Dam Square in Amsterdam, marked annually on 4 May to honour those who have fallen in wars and peacekeeping missions.
On 4 May, King Willem-Alexander and Queen Máxima attended the national Remembrance Day ceremony Dodenherdenking at Dam Square in Amsterdam. Remembrance Day is held annually in the Netherlands to honour all civilians and members of the armed forces of the Kingdom of the Netherlands who have died in wars or peacekeeping missions since the outbreak of the Second World War.

For the occasion, Queen Máxima wore a black lace mid-length dress by Dolce & Gabbana, paired with a pearl brooch by Oscar de la Renta.
