King Charles and Queen Camilla Visited College with Idris Elba
The King and Queen visited Barking & Dagenham Rush Green Campus alongside actor Idris Elba. They met students taking courses in fashion, plumbing, healthcare and cookery.
King Charles and Queen Camilla visited Barking & Dagenham Rush Green Campus, a college that offers a range of technical and professional education courses. Their Majesties were joined by British actor Sir Idris Elba, a former student of the college and ambassador for the King's Trust.

During the visit, the King and Queen met students taking part in workshops in fashion, plumbing, healthcare and cookery. The college provides practical, vocational education to young people in the borough.

The King and Queen also joined Sir Idris at the state-of-the-art TV and film studios named in his honour. The studios give students the opportunity to gain hands-on experience in film and television production.

Queen Camilla showed particular interest in the college's creative courses, touring both the kitchen and the art workshop where students were working on drawing and painting.
