Crown Prince Haakon was in Italy to follow the Norwegian athletes during the Winter Olympics. It was a brilliant day with Norwegian relay gold in cross-country skiing and gold for Maren Kirkeeide in biathlon.

In the ski jumping, however, it was more dramatic, as the medal narrowly slipped away for the Norwegian jumpers in the men's large hill event.
