The royal family at the concert after the Riksdag opening
On the evening of the opening of the Riksdag session, the Swedish royal family gathered at the Stockholm Concert Hall. The Royal Stockholm Philharmonic played for members of parliament and invited guests.
After a long day of church service, procession and ceremony in the Riksdag, the Swedish royal family gathered again at the Stockholm Concert Hall on Tuesday evening. There the concert that traditionally marks the opening of a new parliamentary session was waiting.

The King and Queen Silvia came with Crown Princess Victoria and Prince Daniel, Prince Carl Philip and Princess Sofia, and Princess Madeleine and Christopher O'Neill.
• The Royal Stockholm Philharmonic played
The music was provided by the Royal Stockholm Philharmonic Orchestra, the concert hall's resident orchestra. The concert was held for members of the Riksdag and invited guests, among them the royal family and the government.

• The whole family present
The concert closed a day in which the King opened the 2026/27 session in the chamber, and in which the whole family had taken part from the service at Storkyrkan that morning.
