• Three condolence audiences
Between 5.30 pm and 6 pm the King receives three of the country's most senior office holders in condolence audiences: the President of Parliament, Masud Gharahkhani, the Chief Justice of the Supreme Court, Toril Marie Øie, and the Presiding Bishop of the Church of Norway, Olav Fykse Tveit. Crown Princess Ingrid Alexandra takes part alongside the King.
The audiences mark the meeting between the new monarch and the three branches of Norwegian public life: parliament, the courts and the church.
