King Harald's coffin is brought from Rikshospitalet to the Royal Palace on Friday evening. The royal family accompanies the coffin, and outside the Palace people have been laying flowers throughout the day.
King Harald's coffin is brought from Rikshospitalet to the Royal Palace on Friday evening. The transport departs from the chapel at Rikshospitalet at 6.30 pm, the Royal Palace announced.

The royal family accompanies the coffin. The Palace states that His Majesty King Haakon, Her Majesty Queen Mette-Marit, Crown Princess Ingrid Alexandra, Queen Sonja, Prince Sverre Magnus and Princess Märtha Louise take part.
• The route to the Palace
The procession follows this route: from the chapel at Rikshospitalet via Klaus Torgårds vei, Ring 3 to Sognsveien, then along Sognsveien, Ring 2 and Kirkeveien, followed by Bogstadveien, Hegdehaugsveien and Parkveien, before arriving at the Royal Palace.
Throughout the day people have gathered outside the Palace to lay flowers, light candles and sign books of condolence. The sea of flowers in front of the palace entrance has grown hour by hour.

The King died at Rikshospitalet on Friday morning at 6.35 am, at the age of 89. He will be laid to rest in the Royal Mausoleum at Akershus Castle. RoyMob is following the mourning ceremonies in the days to come.
