Queen Máxima of the Netherlands is on a three-day official visit to India in her role as the UN Secretary-General's Special Advocate for inclusive finance. On the first day, she met healthcare staff and participants in Indian financial schemes, among others.

Queen Máxima of the Netherlands is on an official visit to India from 23 to 25 June, at the invitation of the Indian government. The visit is being carried out in her role as the UN Secretary-General's Special Advocate for inclusive finance and financial health.

On the first day, the Queen met young clients of the neobank Jupiter Money, where the focus was on how digital banking services can make personal finances more accessible.

She also spoke with nurses at the HCG Colaba Hospital about their experiences with SalarySe, a service aimed at salaried employees.

Later, Queen Máxima met participants in India's Jan Dhan scheme, a government programme that gives households affordable access to banking and financial services.
