Crown Prince Haakon visited the Romsdal coast to learn more about the Norwegian seafood industry, ahead of his official visit to Japan later this year.

Crown Prince Haakon visited the Romsdal coast to learn more about the Norwegian seafood industry, ahead of his official visit to Japan later this year. Japan is one of Norway's most important markets for seafood, and also important for the maritime industry.

"I am very impressed by the determination, and that there are so many who are willing to invest, many who are willing to work hard to make this happen, not only with good quality, but also with sustainability. I think it is really exciting to follow," the Crown Prince said during the visit.

The Crown Prince visited the mackerel boat "Havsnurp" and the longline boat "MS Midsund", visited the fish processing company Vikomar, as well as Salmon Evolution in Hustadvika. He also visited the closed test facility "Egget" in Vestnes.
