King Willem-Alexander opened the new factory hall of the family business Prince Fibre in Kampen. The company specialises in fibre-reinforced profiles made from carbon, glass fibre and natural fibre.
King Willem-Alexander on Thursday opened the new factory hall of Prince Fibre in Kampen. Prince Fibre is a family business specialising in the production and development of fibre-reinforced profiles made from carbon, glass fibre or natural fibre. The profiles are used in applications including robotic arms, door frames, medical equipment, drones and components for the maritime sector.
The King cut the ribbon in a spectacular ceremony surrounded by the company's fibre profiles, marking the official opening of the new production hall.

After the opening, the King was given a tour of the new factory hall, where he was shown the innovative techniques the company uses to make end products lighter, stronger and more sustainable. Fibre-reinforced composite is a material that is increasingly replacing traditional materials such as steel and aluminium across a range of industries.

Finally, the King spoke with the different generations working in the family business. Prince Fibre has grown to become an important player in the composites industry, and the new factory hall gives the company the opportunity to increase production capacity and continue developing new solutions.
